French Press coffee quick guide

Start with a coarse grind. We recommend a 1:10 coffee/water ratio. If you're using 350 grams of water, you’ll want 35 grams of coffee. This is just a good starting point (strong Coffee), from here you can adjust to your taste (remember 1 ML of of water is equal to 1 gram).

Pour around 70-80 grams of water into the press. Give the grounds a gentle stir with a spoon. Allow the coffee to bloom for 30- 40 seconds.

Pour the rest and put the lid on gently. Don’t plunge it though, Let the coffee steep for a total of four minutes, timed.

 Press the filter down. When you’ve finished pressing serve right away. The longer it sits the more extraction it gets, this will lead to over extraction and bitter tastes.  It is best to decant into another vessel, and drink it right away.
